This page explains how to delete your CubTime account and all the data associated with it. Account deletion is a right we honour for everyone, whether or not you ever subscribed.
The Short Version
- Deletion removes your account and everything you own — your family group, child members, managed devices, activity history, time limits, schedules, and subscription record.
- It is permanent and cannot be undone.
- To request it, email us from the address on your account (details below). We complete deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
How to request deletion
Email hello@cubtime.com from the email address registered to your CubTime account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. That’s all we need — sending from your account email lets us verify the request is genuinely yours.
You don’t need to give a reason. If you’d like, you can tell us why you’re leaving — it helps us improve — but it’s entirely optional. We’ll confirm by reply once your account and data have been erased.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently erase:
- Your account and sign-in credentials (email, password hash, any multi-factor secret)
- Every family group you own, and all of its settings
- All child family members you created, and their profiles
- All managed devices linked to your family
- All activity history reported by those devices (app and window usage, usage minutes)
- All rules, time limits, and schedules
- All notifications and notification preferences
- Your subscription record
What we keep, and why
A small amount of information is retained where the law requires it, and is never used to re-identify you for any other purpose:
- Anonymised security logs. Audit records (for example, “an account was deleted at this time”) are stripped of personal identifiers rather than removed, so we can meet our security and legal obligations.
- Billing records. If you ever paid for a subscription, payment and invoice records held by us and by our payment processor (Stripe) are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. These contain no card numbers — we never store those.
Everything else listed above is gone for good.
Deleting just a child’s data
If you want to remove one child’s data without closing your whole account, you can do that too. Email us at hello@cubtime.com from your account address and tell us which child member to remove, and we’ll erase that child’s profile, devices, and activity while leaving the rest of your account intact.
Timing
We action deletion requests promptly and complete them within 30 days at the latest, in line with UK GDPR. In practice it is usually done within a few days. If your request needs any clarification, we’ll reach out to the same email address.
