just to chip in on the "why" aspect of this, sadly with multiplayer Minecraft comes restrictions that might not entirely make sense/seem obvious why.
Hoppers, despite their simple functionality, are literal server death machines. Their constant event triggering and not so obvious triggers within plugins you might not expect, I believe MCMMO has some weird feature that for every item transferred it triggers a long list of code. So 1 item transfer is usually about 5+ plugins running checks on that.
Since we're a new network and we're aware of these issues, this was our attempt to mitigate the lag they cause in a way that if it works well we can loosen the grip on it. It's not so great fighting the other end of this and removing hoppers or nerfing after people have built.
I can't promise looser restrictions at this time.
I understand that the server may not be able to handle the hoppers running so many plugins, but I do think that the price could be lowered to maybe $1000-$1500 so that people like me can use them and not break our bank accounts in the process.
When I myself was going to buy the hoppers I only needed eight to satisfy my needs, but buying eight hoppers costs $24000 and would lower my balance by about 25%. With this, I do hope you understand my predicament
If you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you need hoppers for while building? Like what aesthetics would require hoppers?
If you read the first post you would see that I'm making a farm. That is why I needed the hoppers.
I tend to lean towards the vanilla side of things when it comes to building things, so usually money isn't a problem. But since I am physically unable to craft the hoppers and can't buy them with my already over spent budget I am at a standstill in this project that has already taken several hours to do and is to help me have a bigger budget in the future.
So, I was online today making a farm that had already drained quite a bit of my resources and money, then when I go to craft the hoppers it says that it's disabled. I then go to check the price of hoppers in the shop and then find out that it costs $3000 to buy one hopper, let alone eight. I hope this is changed or that there is a good reason for the disabling of the hopper crafting.
(To buy the Iron and the materials for the chest costs $316, much less than $3000)
